Advances in technology offer new information and communication pathways for the National Qualifications Framework and the National Qualifications Register so that career counsellors can support learners, jobseekers, workers and volunteers) in maximising the value of their skills and qualifications when moving towards learning and/or working in the European Union.
Short Bio:
Spyros Papaioannou is Head of the National Qualifications Framework Unit and President of the Equivalencies Committee of E.O.P.P.E.P. with many years of professional experience in the institution. He holds the titles: Master – Counseling and Career Guidance from the European University of Cyprus, Master – Engineering Business Management from the University of Warwick, England and Ptychion in Public Administration from Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences.
His responsibilities include:
– Coordinator of the Greek Qualifications Framework for the implementation and dissemination of the Greek and European Qualifications Framework
– Coordinator of the legislative process for the professional rights of technical/vocational education graduates
– President of the Equivalencies Committee for the equivalence of foreign degrees and abolished domestic institutions, technical/vocational education up to the level 5 of HQF / EQF
– Member of the EUROPASS Advisory Group of the European Commission.
