“Union of Skills: A shared vision for education and skills — and the important role of career guidance.” The presentation titled “Union of Skills: A shared vision for education and skills – and the important role of career guidance” highlights the importance of European cooperation in developing skills, strengthening education, and linking employment policies. It presents the European Commission’s “Union of Skills” vision and emphasizes the key role of career guidance as a central mechanism helping people of all ages adapt to the changing needs of today’s labour market.
Short Bio:
Olga Tsiourva is a Seconded National Expert at the European Commission’s Directorate- General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG EMPL), working in the Skills Agenda Unit on adult learning. She previously served as Thessaly Regional Director of D.Y.P.A., overseeing EU and national labour market programmes and supervising 10 VET schools with around 1,000 students. She has deep expertise in labour market policy and vocational education. Olga Tsiourva holds an MBA and a Master’s in Education, and studied at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She is a Ph.D. candidate researching HR management and artificial intelligence in Greece’s public and private sectors.
