Brief description
Co- trainer with Dr. Gaitanis in the Experiential Training Seminar for Career Counselors in Module B on the topic: “EOPPEP Career Orientation Test”
The seminar will include a presentation and experiential activity on the new EOPPEP questionnaire/interests test. We will be presenting the basic psychometric characteristics of the test, the way the results are presented to the user and how they can be interpreted according to Holland’s theory and the ISCO 08 international classification of occupations. Useful information will be given to counsellors participating in this seminar on how to link the test results to other European tools and Services(ESCO,EUROPASS,EURES). Participants will be given support to work in groups and create a counselling session using the new interests test based on scenarios .
Short Bio
I am a Career Guidance Counsellor,with a Master’s degree(MSc) in “Counseling, Career Guidance and Lifelong Learning” from the Department of Secondary Education of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a graduate of the Department of Primary Education of the University of Crete.
I worked as a teacher in Primary Education in General Education for more than 20 years. Ι chose a new career path combining Pedagogy with career guidance, employment and social integration. During my transition as a career counsellor, I worked for two years in the Career Counselling Department of EOPPEP, where I gained valuable knowledge on developing Career Guidance strategies, scientific tools and materials, and good practices. I currently work as a Career Counsellor (Special Education Staff) in Secondary Education, in Special Education, having as main interests the promotion of vocational training for people with disabilities and supported employment. I have also collaborated with the Laboratory of Counselling Science and Career Development at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in career guidance activities for students in schools and at the university.
